Get That Look – Strawberry Dress

Hey all! Welcome to another Get That Look with yours truly, Jezi! Today we are looking at a trending look focused on the Strawberry Dress.  This look mainly focuses on particular styles of dresses with strawberries.  These strawberry dresses have been super popular generally on Tik Tok and other social media platforms.  I created two types of looks using Strawberry Dresses, so we will dive deep into this look and how to achieve it.

What is a Strawberry Dress

There are two significant variations of this style.  A cute and girly dress and then a more retro dress.  The cute and girly version is far more trendy when looking at Tik Tok.  But both styles have similarities; they are dresses with pretty strawberry patterns.  Both types are also colorful and can incorporate various pastels or other colors.  The most modern versions are generally pink dress with a red strawberry print.  You are probably sitting there like well duhhh Jezi… Strawberry Dress equals Strawberry Print. I am just making sure this is clear LOL! It could be a Strawberry Shaped dress ya know! This trend did come from Tik Tok!

Why is it Trending

For me personally, seeing this look trend in winter… is fascinating.  Yeah, I get it’s not winter everywhere, but this look is also trending in my area.  I don’t see people dressing this way, but I see the Tik Toks and this dress popping up on Twitter!  I cannot get it through as this trend gets even more popular in the summer or warmer months.

CC Hairstyle

So why is this trending, well I am going with the cute factor and Valentine’s Day is approaching.  The Strawberry Dress look is very dependent on cute and clean (the Clean Girl Aesthetic is also trending).  Valentine’s Day generally has lots of reds and pinks involved, so no surprises there on factors of why the Strawberry Dress is trending.  It is also super adorable and cute so this all factors into the timing of the increase in this trend… even though I look out my window and there is snow EVERYWHERE! Again I know some places are not having cold weather.

How to Get This Look

This look is easy to achieve and has specific elements needed to make the look consistent with the trend.  However, there are not many elements to get this look.  The look itself is relatively simple and easy to get with the following five easy steps, that of course we have CC for here at The Sims Resource!

1 – The Dress

The Strawberry Dress

Obviously, the dress is the most crucial element of this look.  The most trendy dress for this look is a short pink girly dress with bows or ruffles and a strawberry print.  I found this Strawberry Dress by Dissia, and it is perfect! This dress fits all the elements and looks identical to one of the trending Strawberry Dresses you can find on Tik Tok.

2 – Accessories

Strawberry Accessories – Necklace, Bracelet, Rings & Bracelet, & Earrings

Cute strawberry accessories just look great with any strawberry print!  Got to keep that cute theme going!  NataliS has the cutest strawberry accessories, including earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets!  That is really the overall theme of this look strawberries and cute! I really love the necklace and bracelet of these accessories, but why not wear the whole set!  Can you have too many strawberries in a Strawberry Dress look?  I don’t think so.

3 – Blush

CC Used – Eyeshadow, Eyeliner, Lipstick, & Blush

Get ready to get berryrific! Blush is a core component of this look; it is generally pink or red, pending on the individual’s skin tone and dress.  This blush is by Sagittariah and is perfect for this look as it also has highlights and pink blush on the Sim’s nose!  Definitely, a must-have option for a full Strawberry Dress look!

4 – Eye Makeup

CC Used – Eyeshadow, Eyeliner, Eyelashes, Lipstick, Skin, Blush

We are still going on the strawberry theme here and again the theme of this look is cute and strawberries, so… pink and red are the core colors.  But cute little graphic stamps work as well.  An excellent highlight adds to this cute factor.  Of course, I had to add some super cute eyelashes to this look.

5 – Shoes

CC Shoes – Three-tie High Heels

Obviously, shoes depend on the dress, but again CUTE factor is a must!  Bows and other elements are lovely  These shoes are by MysteriousOo and work perfectly with the more retro style of the Strawberry Dress.

Final Looks

Retro Strawberry Dress CC – Cardigan & Dress

These are the final looks of the Strawberry Dress that I created.  Again I did one for the super trendy summerish girly pink dress and the more retro look.  The retro dress is by talarian, and the cardigan is by Dissia.  I am thrilled with how these turned out.  I really like the retro look with the cardigan!  The Pink dress also looks identical to the trendy clothing.

Summary

I had a lot of fun with these looks!  But really, I always have fun searching for CC that matches actual life trends here at The Sims Resource.  It always amazes me how close artists can get to matching these trends!  But really, this should not be a surprise because artists can get inspiration from what they see in real life and then bring it to the Sims.  Just incredible how spot-on they can be!

CC Hairstyle

Regarding the dresses, I like the darker retro look better, but I am biased.  The pink, more girly style dress is way more popular, but I have seen it done with goth variants and as pastel goth.  Both of which I am totally down for!  I absolutely love the cardigan on the retro-styled Strawberry Dress look and think with that dress’s neckline and necklace, it all fits perfectly!  I did totally mix Maxis Match and Alpha, but I love to do that, so no surprises there!  I will definitely be doing more fashion inspirations from TikTok, as that seems to be rocking with trendy fashion right now!
