For our final review of February, let’s discuss The Sims 4: Yard Charm Kit! I’ve noticed a lot of positive feedback about this kit, so I’m really excited to explore it. I find that kits are even more enjoyable when they’re enhanced by talented Custom Content Creators or Mod Creators. In this case, the Yard Charm Kit features items created by the skilled Ravasheen. Let’s take a closer look!
About the Kit
Ok, for starters, I am counting 25 items, and is that astro turf (synthetic/artificial grass)? This may sound a bit unusual, but if that is indeed astro turf, I’m even more excited for this pack; it’s the simple things that make us happy. According to the store, the Yard Charm Kit is supposed to feature vibrant colors and modern designs. I see the modern designs for sure, but we’ll need to check in-game to explore all the available swatches. So far, I really like what I see. Without custom content, it can be quite challenging to find matching porch and outdoor sets.
About the Creator – Ravasheen
Ravasheen is a well-known custom content (CC) and mod creator in the Sims community. According to their website, they focus on chic and functional CC, a description I wholeheartedly agree with after reviewing their creations. One of the standout features of Ravasheen’s work is that many of their items are functional, such as the Essential Oil Diffuser available on TSR. Having previously downloaded Ravasheen’s content, I am especially excited to see the Yard Charms Kit!

What is in the Kit
As I mentioned earlier, the Yard Charms Kit contains 25 items. I’ve noticed that this kit offers a nice variety of pieces, including mailboxes, seating, wall decor, and general outdoor decoration items, such as a trash can and grass. Everything in the kit fits together seamlessly, and various swatches complement many other elements in the game.
Build
Alright, so the grass is not AstroTurf… it is perfectly and fancily mowed grass, which I still really like! Newcrest is going to have the PERFECT lawns for their homeowners’ club.
Buy
There are a lot of different swatches and colors in each of these items. I really love it when a Kit or a set matches like this. The variety of colors is also quite nice, which I think many Simmers will enjoy. The modern style of the furniture is a good fit for upscale yards into a paradise.
There are quite a few options, whether you want to brighten your Yards up or just have some functional space for your Sims to relax. Only decorations I would have liked to have seen would have been a plant… or two… or three.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I really like the Yard Charms Kit, and this is one of my favorite Kits yet. I would say it definitely ranks in the top five. And yes… a big reason is that grass. LOL. Another reason is that there is content you can use to dress up your front entry to your Sim’s home as well, which I just really haven’t seen a lot of EA content for them.
There are many options available for backyards or porches as well. Having choices is always beneficial when building and decorating outdoor spaces, and I appreciate having them! Additionally, the wooden pathways are absolutely beautiful. This kit is definitely worth considering!
