You all loved the Fall Fashion Colors 2023 Blog, so now that it is Winter, we need a Winter Fashion Colors 2024 Blog! As always, I researched colors and fashion trends, and the following are the colors I have selected to highlight. I wanted to get a mix of traditional winter colors and some not-so-typical colors for Winter. Using color inspiration always gives me new ideas and challenges me to try new styles in my Sim designs, so I hope you try new things too! That is the reason you are here, after all, right? Typical and Not Typical Winter Colors
For Winter fashion, colors for Winter 2024 include several that I would consider typical or traditional Winter colors. However, there has been a definite increase in pastels in the last few years. Pastels are now just as prevalent as what most would consider typical Winter colors. When I think of typical winter colors, I think of Navy Blue, Cranberry, Deep Forrest Green, Stone Gray, and colors like that. However, with the growing popularity of the Y2K Aesthetic and Barbiecore, it is no surprise that we have tons and tons of pastels in EVERY Season. But that is the beauty of fashion. It constantly changes at least a little, and you can wear whatever style you want.

Typical Winter Colors
For our Typical Winter Colors 2024, I selected a few colors of the year. These trending colors of the year are chosen by paint, design, and fashion companies as the prominent colors for that year. This year, there is quite a variety, so it was easy to feature a few of these in this part of the blog. One of the websites I used for these colors is housebeautiful.com. This website has several colors of the year for interior trends featured. Interestingly, many of these Colors of the Year for interior paint transfer as hot trending colors for fashion.
Color 1 – Blue Nova

Blue Nova is Benjamin Moore’s color of the year for 2024. This traditional winter blue color pairs well with many peach and light orange colors, which are also trending. Blue tones are predicted to trend throughout the entire year of 2024!
Color 2 – Mountain Sage

Of the many color features here, I must have a favorite, right? Mountain Sage is totally it! This deep desaturated green is the building material company James Hardie’s color of 2024. I love this color in home siding, wall paint, furniture, and fashion. It is SIM-ply lovely!
Color 3 – Silver Moon

Silver Moon is an excellent standard gray color for Winter fashion. I like this color as a central and accent piece to outfits, as it is versatile. An easy minimalistic color that you can easily keep minimal or dress up for a fancier look.
Color 4 – Blackberry

I generally lean toward blacks and reds for colors, but this deep purple makes me reconsider my choices. This color is rich and gorgeous! This Winter Color 2024 has a statement for fashion to stand out and scream, “LOOK AT ME!” This bold purple hue is regal, elegant, and just lovely!
Color 5 – Cracked Pepper

Of course, I must include a black or dark gray hue with Winter! Cracked Pepper falls right between black and gray… and this is actually the color of my Master Bedroom suite and Office… Cracked Pepper is Behr’s 2024 Color of the Year, and this is my go-to paint company for all my home remodeling! So it is no surprise I wanted to try this color in fashion!
Not So Typical Winter Colors
I love researching trending colors and working with new trends! These not-so-typical Winter Colors for 2024 seem a little springy to me. Lots of vibrant colors, pastels, and intense brightness. Some of these colors surprised me, but we will get to that soon!
Color 6 – Iced Mint

Is the color mint green or blue? I feel like this is like teal and aquamarine. Well, it’s kinda of as teal to me is more green, and aquamarine is more blue. So what is mint? This is a trending color for this Winter and gives any look with this color a fresh new take on Winter fashion!
Color 7 – Iced Lavender

So this is the same color trending in Fall 2023… but it was called ‘Digital Lavender.’ I mean, I guess it is slightly different. Is this a lighter tone, or just the same thing rebranded? We can slap the name ‘Iced’ on any color and make it sound wintery, right? Regardless, light pastels are hot right now for Winter Colors 2024!
Color 8 – Dark Amethyst

For Dark Amethyst, I have seen it displayed in fashion with glitter and without. This color makes sense with New Year’s around the corner, but it is a trending color predicted for the entire winter season. It is gorgeous and super fancy, so I am not mad!
Color 9 – Deep Lagoon

This color surprised me for Winter Colors 2024. It is not what I would expect to see for this season, but I love it! Out of the not-typical Winter fashion colors, Deep Lagoon is my favorite. A delighted surprise, for sure!
Color 10 – Electric Lime

Excuse me… what? Yes, this Electric Lime in Winter Colors 2024 is SHOCKING! But did you know that with the rise of Maximalism, neon colors are coming back? Hello, 80s and another variant of Y2K. This color is not for me, but we will make it work!
Summary
I absolutely love challenging myself to create looks with trending colors! The trending winter colors 2024 are spread out in different shades and hues. I tried to do a wide range of trends from activewear and casual to formal; this way, you have loads of CC to download! This year, we have everything from the typical, deep winter hues to pastels and neon colors! Again, I attribute this to Barbiecore, Y2k, and Taylor Swift for the fashion trends. As you can see, there is no shortage of CC here at The Sims Resource. I can create an outfit with any trending color or style… even Electric Lime!
