Is getting a The Sims Resource free account worth your time? Absolutely.
Hi! I’m Paige, I’m the newest member of The Sims Resource’s content team. I couldn’t be more excited to share with you the benefits of using TSR as a free member. All you need to do is create an account using the link at the top of the page. Then, you’ll be able to create your very own TSR account through your Facebook account or your email. From there, you’ll need to confirm your account and you’re all set to begin downloading!
Once you’re logged in, you can look for custom content to download–complete with shortened download wait times! While free users still have a download wait period that our VIP members do not, it’s only 10 seconds instead of 15 seconds (which is how long users who aren’t logged in need to wait).
On top of this, you also gain the ability to view your download history! You can look through your past downloads and find them by going to the top of the page and finding “Download History” under the “Account” tab.
Once you’re there, you can view all the pieces of CC you previously downloaded for future reference.
Searching for CC
In order to make your CC search easier, downloads can be filtered in a variety of ways. You can filter by game (shoutout to everyone still playing The Sims 3–what a throwback!), by theme, and by type of CC, whether it be makeup, clothing, or hairstyles. Not sure where to start? Check out our “Featured Creations” tab on the front page of the website for a curated selection of CC that we love.
Additionally, pieces of custom content that were formerly only available on artists’ Patreon will soon be uploaded to The Sims Resource as part of an exciting 2021 update! Free users will have access to these pieces as soon as they are uploaded to the site. This means an even greater selection of CC will be available right here at TSR, making it even more of a one-stop-shop for all of your CC needs.
