Glitches. The bread and butter of The Sims 4. We’re just kidding, but we have to admit that there are a lot of glitches in the game. Some are funny, while others send you into a coma from stress as you try to figure out how to fix them. We’ve run into quite a few of those before. It’s one of those moments where you sit there Googling for hours, trying to fix the game to no avail.
Well, today we have one of those glitches for you, readers. Poor dng046922 went through a particularly annoying glitch where their Sims would not take off their graduation caps no matter what. Just take the dang things off, please! With no idea how to remove these stubborn caps, the user turned to r/LowSodiumSimmers for help.

What can be done to remove the caps? One commenter suggests going into Create-A-Sim, equipping a hat, and then removing it. Another offered the idea that it could be a hidden moodlet. By enabling cheats, shift-clicking on the Sim, and then removing the moodlet, the cap should come off, according to kittykaty14.
Another possible solution for those who use mods is to download MCCC by Deaderpool. Once installed, go to MC Cheats, then Cheat Sim Info, followed by Mood/Buff Control and Remove Buff. You will be looking for a buff that includes “buff_University_Graduation_Cap.” This should resolve the issue! Dag dag!
