The Sims 4 is infamous for its bugs, glitches, and just general silliness. It’s one of the many qualities that make The Sims what it is and so enjoyable for thousands. Sometimes, though, these silly moments can get quite out of hand. Today, we’re focusing on something so outlandish that it doesn’t seem real, but we swear it is!
In r/thesims, we see something utterly outrageous in a comment thread that baffles even the most seasoned players. A giant lawn chair is hovering menacingly over Oasis Springs. Unsure of how it got there, the original poster, charlottelennox, is genuinely concerned and confused. And we are too! How did it get there? Why is it so big? Does it pose a threat to the townies of Oasis Springs?
I do not know how this happened.

The poster swears they do not use the mod TOOL by TwistedMexi, so oversizing items beyond the base game’s limitations is not possible. Some joked that it’s the chair that the player, or the “Watcher,” sits in while watching over their Sims. One, CazPsiren, shared a similar story about experiencing a huge coffee table in San Myshuno! Though they offered no explanation as to why it happened or how to fix it. Back to square one. It could possibly be an accidental “set object as head” moment, as this has happened to other players. Though it’s more likely to be a regular old bug. It has an easy fix, though, in most cases. Simply finding the item and deleting it through cheats can resolve the issue.
If that doesn’t work, reporting the bug on the EA forum is the next step. Dag dag!
