The gameplay trailer for The Sims 4: Growing Together has premiered! If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out:
Set in the neighborhood of Hopewell Hills within the world of San Sequoia, this trailer focuses in on the new Family Dynamic and Social Compatibility options.
Family Dynamics
The new Family Dynamic option seems to set the overall mood between two sims. Options such as “Close” or “Distant” will have an affect on how easy it is to maintain a relationship.
It also appears that sims of different relationships, or perhaps different ages, will have different “Family Dynamic” options available.
Social Compatibility
Adding more depth to Sims is something that players have always been talking about. This looks like it’s being addressed in part by “Social Compatibility.”
Based off of the “Likes” or “Dislikes” that a sim has, this determines some general compatibility with other sims who either like or dislike the same things.
This could prove to be an interesting roadblock for some people. Some of us, I.E. me, try to marry their sims to the first sim they meet. In cases like the gameplay trailer, this might be more of an issue with the family of a significant other. On the other hand, good compatibility can make for smooth sailing when everyone gets along!
The Sims 4: Growing Together will be available from March 16th, 2023.
