What is the Difference Between an Overlay and a Stencil?

Both overlays and stencils are used to add non-recolorable decals and textures to your creations, so what are the differences?

Overlays

  • Apply to all color variations of the creation
  • Are used only once in a creation

Stencils

  • only apply to a single color variation
  • can be layered (up to 4 stencils can be added to each color variation)
