Another month has flown by and as we now approach the month of June it is time for another TSR Newsletter! May was packed full of exciting CC, Community Activities, and updates from The Sims 4, so let’s get to this TSR May Newsletter!
TSR News
A lot was going on at TSR in May! From collections to Community Activities to a new Staff member here at TSR! Let’s break it down and highlight each of these, in case you want to revisit the CC or if you happened to have missed it!
Collections
We had two amazing Collections for May; the Barbershop Collection and the Prom Collection. Both of these Collections featured specific types of CC that the Simming Community has been requesting.
Barbershop
The Barbershop Collection featured modern and sophisticated styles for Sims, primarily focusing on masculine CC. As masculine CC is an area of CC we get lots of requests for, we decided to host this Collection so that you could download even more. You can find the Barbershop Collection HERE.
Prom
For our second Collection, we featured a Prom-themed CC. During this time in the United States, many high schools host their Proms. There is of course a Prom event in The Sims 4 High School Expansion Pack, so you can absolutely use all this lovely CC for this event and more. You can find the Prom Collection HERE
TSR Community Content
We want to be your Resource for ALL things Sims, so we have a lot more to offer than just amazing CC! We have a VIP Discord Community, Streams, Blogs, Videos, and more that you can totally check out!
Discord

Streams
Come watch Jezi play the Sims and learn about CC and the game! Streaming is Monday & Friday from 11:30a to 1:30p EST. On Mondays, we do Makeover Madness where we are making over an entire game save of townies, one fashion tragedy at a time! On Fridays, we look at the fundamentals of Simming and learn how to do things in the game together. You can find our Twitch channel HERE.

New Artist Manager
If you are an artist here at TSR then you probably already know that we have a new Artist Manager. Queenie has joined Team TSR and will now be assisting and managing the Artist Program at TSR!

Gameplay Trends
So how are Simmers playing their game? What new or old Challenges are Simmers trying? What is trending right now… well I have done the research and let’s dive in!
CAS Trends
My modern take on a Barbie – Inspired Sim that you can find HERE
For CAS trends I am seeing a lot of Simmers in the community creating Sims inspired by characters and celebrities. I am also seeing loads of Townie Makeovers, particularly Mermaids, Grace Anansi, Penny Pizazz, and the Vatore Siblings. With the Townie Makeovers, a lot of Simmers are putting them in a yearbook-styled collage to showcase their completed makeovers. This is definitely an idea I am going to try! If you need help picking a townie out check out my bingo board for makeovers HERE.
Build/Decor Trends

For building and decorating I am still seeing a lot of color palette-themed interior designs or one-color-themed rooms. You can find the Palette Challenges I have made HERE.  I think I am totally going to have to trya lot with a different color in every room in the future! Another trend that is going with the Summer season is pool and park builds. I am seeing lovely lots with tropical pools all over and I am here for it!
General Gameplay Trends
My very square-shaped micro home was built from our Rags to Riches Challenge played on our Twitch channel.
For actual gameplay in the Sims 4, I have recently seen a lot of Tiny or Micro Home gameplay as well as more Sim Legacy stories. I have seen loads of Sim stories through screenshots on social media, and I absolutely love following the stories! And some of these Sim Legacies are over ten generations long!
The Sims 4 Updates
It sounds like there is more exciting Sims 4 content coming our way! A new road map… and a new expansion pack announced! We don’t know what it is yet, time will tell but let’s take a look at the information we do know… while dreaming of hotels in the Sims 4, or at least I am!
Roadmap

The next Sims 4 Road Map has been released and it is called The Sims 4 Season of Love. There are loads of hits at romantic and travel clues throughout the release that we are all eagerly awaiting and you can find the article HERE. The first two Kits from the roadmap have also been announced and they are called The Sims 4 Riviera Retreat and Cozy Bistro Kits. You can read more about these upcoming Kits HERE!  These two new kits will be available on May 30th!
Laundry List

On May 23rd The Sims announced in their Laundry List that they were assembling a team to resolve the technical issues and start to work on the issues within the core gameplay of The Sims 4. You can read the entire list HERE, It sure seems like quite a bit but with the recent issues, we can hope for a fast and correct turnaround.
Patch 5/28/24
There was a patch just released on 5/28/24 and it covers a variety of fixes for common issues Simmers were encountering. Some of the bug fixes include; the issue with missing expansion packs, skills in alphabetical order, Sims no longer getting stuck in the ground and still swimming, fewer crashes with better optimization, Gallery Server fixes, and a couple For Rent bugs. You can find the full list of updated bugs and adjustments HERE.
Coming Soon TSR
For June we will be celebrating Pride! June is pride month so this is our annual celebration. This Pride Collection will also be including CC released in previous years so you have loads of Pride CC to download! You can check out the Pride Collection HERE. In addition to our Pride Celebration Collection, we will have one more collection later in the month. This Collection is a highly requested style so June will no doubt have loads of CC to download!
Sneak Peak of the Sim for the Community Activity Contest
Also, keep your eyes out for our Community Day Contest! This will be coming out in June and is sure to be loads of fun!
