June has been a busy month in the Sims Community and here at TSR! With the news that there is soon to be another Expansion Pack released, Pride Month, and the Y2K Collection we have a lot to summarize in this June Newsletter!
TSR News
We had loads of fun this Month celebrating Pride and releasing the Y2K Collection! We have filled our Social feeds with loads of shorts and content to bring you sim-spiration for your gameplay and you can always let us know if there is anything else you would like to see! Here at TSR we are here for you, that’s right Simmers, we want to be your ultimate Resource for everything Sims! So if you need something let us know!
Collections
And of course, we are starting this June Newsletter off with these amazing collections! I am pretty sure I say this every single collection and collab… but the Artists just raised the bar again on these June Collections! Phenomenal CC and a beautiful celebration of Pride Month!
Pride Collection
Each year in the month of June we celebrate Pride. So you will find loads of creations in the Pride Month collection! This collection grows yearly, so you can even find CC from previous years all in one place! Pride Month is a celebration and we enjoy supporting our community with all the lovely Pride CC they need! Y2K Collection
Our secondary collection for June was the never-ending trend of Y2K. This aesthetic style is so large it had to have its own collection! The Y2K collection is full of various Y2K styles from preppy skirts, low-rise jeans, crop tops, slogan shirts, bright pastels, neon lights, chunky accessories, to tracksuits. All of these elements are y2K and we are so excited to have a collection dedicated to this mega trend! You can find the y2K collection HERE.
Socials

Discord
If you are a VIP you totally need to come check out the VIP Discord! You can find banners on the site and find a link to it in your VIP benefits. To get in you have to be logged into your VIP account to connect to the discord. This is a super chill fun place, we have activities if you need inspiration, and we have sharing channels and places to let us know what you would like to see at TSR. You also get to chat with other Simmers, TSR Artists, and TSR Staff! So come join the fun!
Streams
I am back from vacation and streaming again! Unfortunately, right after vacation, I was ill so it has been a process getting back into the swing of things. I now stream on Mondays and Fridays from 11:30am EST to 1:30PM EST weekly. On Mondays, we work on making over an entire save of Sims Townies (I have fourteen households complete) and on Fridays… well I am attempting to build a full lot. This lot just so happens to have a basement pool. You can join all the fun and watch the stream HERE.
Daily Features
Each day we feature a newly uploaded creation from one of our Artists! So if you do not check the site daily you can still see what lovely new creations we have! And of course, these are complete with a direct link right to the CC!
Sims Community Trends
With the excitement of a new Expansion Pack, I was expecting to see a lot of Romantic Gameplay and creations. In some cases this is true, but not in all. So let’s take a look at some of the Community Trends in this June Newsletter.
Gameplay Trends
For gameplay, the Sims Community is really getting into Sims RP or Role Play. I see loads of Simmers creating social media accounts for their Sims and creating stories through these accounts. This is very popular on Instagram and I am noticing more romance after the announcement of the upcoming Pack. I have also noticed recently some really good in-depth almost soap opera-style stories on socials. They all have me living for the virtual tea!
Another gameplay trend that has always been popular is Rags to Riches. This is usually a favorite of streamers and video creators when new packs come out, as you can try to make it rich with the new features.
CAS Trends
For Create a Sim or CAS trends I am noticing a lot of Sim Evolitions on tiktok. This is where the video creator takes a sim from an earlier time and compares it to their current style. There is also a ton of Simmers converting to Maxis Match this summer. And as always loads of character-inspired Sims from trending shows and loved stories! Definitely a creative summer!
Build/Buy Trends
As far as building and decorating trends go I am seeing a lot of Summer and beach-themed builds, which is normal for this time of year in the United States. The one new trend I have noticed is a lot of Simmers are building attics in their lots and really experimenting with shapes rather than just standard square builds. Another trend that I just love is the one-color decor and build challenges. I do these as well and they are super fun and challenging. I think yellow has been the hardest color yet for me!
The Sims 4 Updates
There have been loads of recent activity in the official Sims 4 game. During June The Sims offered a Login Event that allowed Simmers to get some new content. There was a hairstyle, dartboard, necklace, pillow, and some other items that you could get just by logging in. There was a game update on June 6th and you can find the notes HERE.
Upcoming Expansion
Now what you have really been wanting to know about… The Expansion Pack. What is it? When is it? and What comes with it? Well, we don’t exactly know. Some rumored leaks happened in the Simming Community and we will see very soon how true they are. We typically do not involve ourselves too much in leaks as well they are not official announcements so we don’t want to report on possible false information. The good news is we do not have long to wait as The Sims is setting the mood to give us some more information on June 27th! You can get to the video below.

Coming Soon to TSR
