Everyone needs friends in The Sims 4, even Edith, as scary and creepy as she is! All Sims turn on the Static Channel, but none of them ever want to stay and talk when Edith comes out of the TV. Poor girl.
Why Is Edith So Mean?
Why is Edith so mean? Well, she died a very tragic death. As a child, she fell into a well and drowned! Overwhelmed with grief and anger, it all manifested into a festering rage, causing her to lash out at every Sim she encounters. Now, she terrifies everyone, causing them to cower in fear and pee themselves. Maybe a friend will cure her of her permanent mean streak. Or not, but it’s worth a shot!
How To Befriend Her
And that’s exactly what TheUtopianCat must have thought too, as they invited Edith to their twin Sims’ slumber party! How sweet! And luckily for Edith, the twins didn’t even mind her being there. That’s pretty surprising, as she strikes fear straight into the hearts of any Sims she meets. Maybe after a proper slumber party experience, Edith won’t be so mean anymore.

It’s not that hard to befriend Edith, as long as your Sim is friendly, patient, and understanding. And don’t run from her, as that only makes her even more upset and distrustful of your Sim! Once you’ve befriended dear old Edith, you can ask her to mark you. Receiving her mark increases your chances of success on your next wish at the Well of Longing and Regret. Not only does it improve your chances, but it also unlocks quest rewards and additional interactions with Alice at the Guardian Tree.
Now you’re ready to befriend Edith, and maybe you can even invite her to your Sim’s slumber party. Dag dag!
