Welcome back to Room Reno #38 here at The Sims Resource! Today we’re helping a Sim who wants to incorporate her love of crystals into her new bedroom. Let’s meet her!
Meet Blaire!
Blaire is a Sim who recently moved into her aunt’s old house in Willow Creek! While she appreciates the charm of the older house, she wants to liven up the master bedroom and make it into somewhere she really feels at home. She loves collecting different crystals and displaying them around her home, so that’s going to be a huge aspect of the room’s design. Let’s see what the room looks like so we can start designing!
The Before
The master bedroom feels a bit like a cave, not gonna lie. It’s just so dark and spooky feeling! The taller walls and shape of the room have a lot of potential, though. There’s definitely a way to turn this space into Blaire’s dream room. I want to add another window to one of the walls to allow for more natural light, and also potentially flip the bed from one wall to another so that there’s more space near the entryway. Let’s get into planning!
The Planning
First, I want to flip the bed from near the door to the other side of the room, as I said in the last step. I’m going to place a second window on the same wall so there’s natural light coming in from next to the bed. I want an accent table and chair to face the bed so that Blaire has a spot to display her crystals. An armoire will hold all of her clothes and also match the slightly Victorian theme in the room. Oh, and two bedside tables will be on each side of the bed, so Blaire has more display space. Let’s get building!
The After
This room had such a drastic transformation! When I first started building, I knew I wanted to use pastel blues, but I’m really happy with how it paired with the pink walls, which really help brighten up the space. I love the Victorian style furniture, which really pairs nicely with the crystals and other decor pieces in the space. The bed is one of my favorite parts of the room–the metal headboard and foot are such a classic design. Want any of the CC used in this room? Find it on the table below!
