Drab to Fab – Luxury Pink Bedroom

Welcome to our new blog series, Drab to Fab, where we transform dull rooms into fabulous spaces for our Sims using custom content (CC)! In our first chapter, we will create a luxury pink bedroom for a celebrity client. This room will feature over seventy-five pieces of custom content from our site.

The Before

Kendall and Evelyn, the sisters, recently bought a penthouse in San Myshuno, located in the heart of the fashion district at 1 Torendi Tower. Their spacious and beautiful penthouse offers many features, but it doesn’t quite reflect their unique styles and hobbies. Therefore, we have taken on the task of transforming the space from dull to fabulous, starting with Kendall’s bedroom. Kendall envisions her bedroom as a luxurious pink sanctuary filled with things she loves.

The Client

Our client, Kendall Ward, is an accomplished model and a second-generation celebrity living in San Myshuno. Kendall has a passion for luxury, particularly when it comes to her personal space. Kendall also said that she wanted her bedroom to be open with plenty of space to move around in, as she does not like small rooms. In designing her bedroom, we must carefully consider these elements.

I asked Kendall to prepare a selection of photos for decoration, and she provided over a hundred. Her work is clearly very important to her, as is her relationship with her sister, Evelyn, who appears in numerous photos alongside Kendall. Incorporating these selfies, past work, and images of her sister will be essential in creating the bedroom of Kendall’s dreams.

Adding CC

How can we fit seventy-five pieces of CC into one room? Fortunately, this bedroom is quite spacious, making it easy to create a luxury pink bedroom design. When it comes to custom content, the key is ensuring we have enough downloaded to provide adequate wall coverings and décor to meet the client’s requests. Since this client enjoys displaying a lot of items, it will be easier for us to fill the room with CC!

Build Items

The Luxury Pink Bedroom offers ample space, so we decided to incorporate an interesting wallpaper to enhance the room’s aesthetic. The classic damask, vintage-inspired wallpaper in a lovely pink shade beautifully complements the pink paneling with white trim. Although I’m not usually a fan of pink, there’s something elegant about a soft pink petal paired with white and gold accents. It truly captures the luxurious vibe of this room.

Furniture Items

In designing her bedroom, Kendall envisioned a harmonious space that seamlessly integrates various elements to support her personal and professional life. She wanted a dedicated vanity area for her makeup routine, complete with ample lighting and organized storage for her beauty products. This space would be functional and inspire creativity as she gets ready each day.

Kendall also desired an office setup that fosters productivity and focus. A sleek desk with a comfortable chair, combined with efficient organization tools, would allow her to work on her projects without feeling cluttered or distracted. She dreams of a space filled with natural light and perhaps a few motivational decorations to keep her spirits high during long work sessions.

Additionally, a cozy meditation corner was essential for her wellness routine. She pictured a serene nook adorned with soft pillows, a plush throw blanket, and calming decor encouraging relaxation and mindfulness. This space would serve as her retreat, allowing her to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and find moments of peace.

Overall, Kendall’s vision for her bedroom revolves around creating a versatile environment that is well-rested yet energized, balancing her need for productivity while staying connected to her social outlets. It’s a place where she can recharge, work efficiently, and express herself—all in one beautifully designed space.

Decor Items

Kendall expressed her desire for her Luxury Pink Bedroom to showcase her achievements and personal belongings. As a Sim with a materialistic trait, she values her possessions. Although Kendall mentioned that the room might struggle to stay organized without assistance, we aimed to set her up for success by maintaining a tidy display without overdoing it. Since Kendall enjoys a lot of wall art, we included a couple of wall collages featuring some of her favorite pieces, including several images of herself.

The Plants

One of my personal touches in room design is incorporating a variety of plants into the space. Plants truly bring a room to life. Of course, I always consider the client’s preferences, and since Kendall enjoys a lot of elements in her space, we can fill some empty areas with plants. Additionally, the greenery helps to break up the space, creating a more organized look amidst Kendall’s love of clutter and various items.

The After

From a top view, it’s clear that Kendall’s Luxury Pink Bedroom has plenty of space between its various sections. Since she enjoys hosting gatherings, this spacious layout allows for easy movement and accommodates guests comfortably.

Kendall is thrilled with her new luxury pink bedroom and has expressed her desire to have us return for another project in the penthouse. The pink tones and gold accents work beautifully together, creating a relaxing yet glamorous space. The only changes I would suggest are adding a walk-in closet and a raised platform for the bed area.
