7.5 Generations Worth of Photos All Gone
This is a bug that has plagued almost every save for several months. Althoigh it was patched, players still experience this infuriating bug. Some players sigh and accept it as it was only a few photos. However, players like iiappie are left genuinely heartbroken after generations of photos are gone!
Posted to r/Sims 4, iiappie shows us several walls of blank photographs. The picture eating bug destroyed them all. It’s heartbreaking, especially for long time players. Each Sim in each generation was documented. And now, that’s all gone.

The frustration runs deep within the community. Many players have expressed their disappointment and fear that their Sims’ legacies might be lost forever. Some are even taking a break from the game until the matter is truly resolved.
We can only hope that EA finds the root of this problem. It seems as though it wasn’t fully fixed. Players deserve to keep their photos without going through a hundred loops. Until then, players should back up their saves regularly and share their photos to the gallery for safekeeping.
It is important to note: if your photos were blank before the patch, they will remain blank after the patch. Sadly, the patch did not restore lost images.
