Your Sims Can Finally Sell Crafts Without Water Glitches

Have you ever had your Sim pour their heart into a beautifully knitted sweater or a finely carved wooden sculpture, only to be met with the dreaded greyed-out bubble: “This item has been ruined by water”? Even when your Sim hadn’t gone near a sink, puddle, or raincloud? If so, you’re not alone. And you’re in luck! EA has patched this frustrating bug, and your Sims can now earn their well-deserved simoleons from crafting!

  What’s The Fix?

The “ruined by water” issue, which had blocked Sims from selling their handcrafted items, has been officially resolved. It was first reported on the EA Forums by crinrict, and EA responded quickly, confirming that a fix would arrive with the release of Adventure Awaits, the newest expansion pack.

Interestingly, the bug was introduced in the early September patch, just two weeks before the expansion’s launch. That gave EA a tight 14-day window to investigate and patch the problem in time for the release. Now, thanks to EA and their team, the glitch is gone, and your Sims can now sell their knitted goods and woodwork without fear of phantom water damage.
