On September 4, Maxis rolled out a small 2.19 update that finally fixed one of the most annoying bugs in the game’s main menu!
You Can Finally Disable Sims 4 Packs Without Waiting Forever
Before the patch, the “Confirm” button in the pack selection screen would stay greyed out way too long after you disabled certain packs.
The devs confirmed that some delay on the “Confirm” button is required to ensure all selected packs are loaded before you can confirm any changes.
Official 2.19 Notes
The fix rolled out as part of PC version 1.117.244.1020, Mac 1.117.244.1220, and Console version 2.19. Here are the official patch notes for the update:

Bug Fixes
Base Game
- [EA Forums] Resolved an issue where the “Confirm” button remained disabled for far too long after players disabled packs from the pack selection screen.
- NOTE: The actual time delay is largely specific to the specs of your machine, though some delay on the Confirm button is necessary to ensure that all selected packs are fully loaded before players can confirm any changes. This delay ensures packs load correctly, which provides a smoother and safer experience for players when managing their pack selections.
