We’re looking for dedicated news writers to cover The Sims franchise here on The Sims Resource! If you love The Sims 4 and keep up with the latest news, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
What We Require
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- A strong understanding of The Sims 4, its community, and familiarity with packs and mods.
- A very high level of written English (you don’t have to be a native speaker, but fluency is a must).
- The ability to absorb feedback and improve on it.
- Consistent news output. You must be able to put out multiple news articles per week. If you can’t commit to that, the role isn’t a fit for you.
- A background in journalism or gaming media (a big plus, but not mandatory).
- Experience with WordPress or other Content Management Systems (a big plus, but not required).
- Use Discord for day-to-day communication. Use our internal news planning system for news.
Our news writers cannot use AI for news content. We periodically check articles and samples for AI hits and generating news content using AI won’t be tolerated.
What We Offer
- Revenue-share compensation for every published article.
- A chance to work and grow alongside an experienced editorial team in the gaming media.
- Consistent writing opportunities.
How to Apply?
Send your CV with 1-2 relevant writing samples to [email protected]. In your sample(s), demonstrate your news-writing abilities by covering a topic as you would if you were writing a news article for The Sims resource.
Only applications with included samples will be considered. We reserve the right to only apply to successful candidates before we offer them a trial position.
What Are You Waiting For?
If you’ve ever wanted to write for one of the biggest Sims platforms out there, this is your shot, don’t miss it.
