In The Sims 4, grief can show up in many ways. Grief can show up in 4 ways: Anger, Blues, Denial, and Holding It Together. Similar to reality, grief makes it difficult to live day-to-day life. For Sims who have the Blues grief, life can become especially challenging. They’re too depressed to do the things they once loved, with death stealing the joy from their life. Interactions with other Sims and the world around them can be especially challenging. Even small interactions, like watering plants, can become a challenge.
A Watering Can Full of Tears
However, like everything else in The Sims 4, even the saddest moments can take a silly turn. Grief may weigh heavily on a Sim’s heart, but the game never misses a chance to turn tragedy into comedy. How can grief be silly, you may ask? A Sim can use their tears to water a garden! How dramatic.
Your Sim trudges outside to the garden, heartbroken but knowing they can’t mistreat it. Instead of grabbing a watering can, they look down at their plants and weep. In our opinion, it’s a win-win situation! The plants get watered, and the Sim gets a free therapy session.
Who would have thought that grief could be a feature that helps with the yard work? Grief is hard, but at least your plants are thriving! If your Sim is grieving long enough, you might not even need sprinklers or watering cans anymore. Just keep them depressed, and the garden will flourish.
Who knows, it could make for interesting gameplay. Have an evil Sim that profits off the pain of others? Kill the Sims close to the evil Sim’s friends and send them to the garden when they visit. Free entertainment and a gardening service!
