Hello everyone! Another month has passed, so it is time for another newsletter! This TSR February Newsletter is bursting with all things Sims that happened this month! A lot of CC and news that happened ALL in February were released.
TSR News
This month has been filled with romantic CC and website updates. We have had content, contests, cc, website updates, and more! So many Sims things going on; it is no wonder we are called The Sims Resource.
TSR Socials
We are pretty easy to find on Social Media. If you ever feel like commenting or sharing, you can find all our social accounts through Linktree or our home page. Our goal is to make sure you have easy access to everything Sims!
Just so everyone is aware, the Facebook account has been locked, and we are making a new one. So, for those who follow us there, don’t worry; we will be back soon!
We post our featured creations on Monday – Friday on Pinterest, and our followers are constantly growing. Over the last month, we have added our other content, such as blogs, videos, reels/shorts, and memes, to Pinterest, giving you all plenty of places to find our CC and content.
Contests
We had a couple of giveaway contests this month, and the closing dates for these competitions are today and tomorrow! We will offer more community competitions, so if you missed these two, watch for more!
CC Stash
The CC Stash competition was a real hit! All you had to do was screenshot your mods folder showing how extensive your CC stash was for a chance to win a $100 Gift Card to Amazon. Our current top-proven CC stash is at around 660 Gigs! A few people say they play with a TB of CC, but no screenshots were submitted! Nonetheless, talking about CC and seeing how much people play with it is exciting!
Wedding Mood Board
For our more involved contest, we offered some more Amazon gift cards for the submission of a dream wedding moldboard. This competition closes on the 29th, and if you wish to submit, you can HERE.
TSR Collections
Alright, now to the CC! We had two Collections in February, the Valentine’s Day and the Wedding Collection, and one extraordinary drop, the Football Drop. So you can say February had tons and tons of romantic CC, and as a die-hard romance fan… I am here for it.
Valentine’s Day Collection
The Valentine’s Day Collection was complete of red and pink CC! This Collection is a lovely batch of romantic-themed CC, and I have downloaded so much of it! You can find the Valentine’s Day Collection HERE.
Big Game Drop
We celebrated the Big Game with an American football-themed CC drop! Jerseys, pants, sports sets, number stickers, decor and more! You can find the Big Game Drop HERE.
The Wedding Collection
Our current Collection is The Wedding Collection, and the CC in this Collection just takes my breath away. I am in awe of how lovely these CC pieces are! You can find The Wedding Collection HERE.

The month of February was full of content here at TSR! This is just a preview of what we did here at TSR!
Blogs
This month, for blogs, we had a lot to cover! Our first blog for this month was all about CC Finds: The Valentine’s Day Collection; I listed many options to download that were uploaded to The Valentine’s Day Collection. The second blog of the month is about the Scripted Mods incident and is a good resource on what to do if you have questions or need help checking your mods. The final blog for this month was a tutorial on How to Install Sims With Required Items; in this blog, I show screenshots and go into detail so that you know exactly how to get all the Sims you want in your game!
Videos
For February, I uploaded two new, longer videos. One video is all about the Valentine’s Day Collection. The other video is a part of my favorite series, What The Trend?! This is where we look at two or more IRL fashion styles and see how they look in Sims! You can check these videos and more on our YouTube channel HERE.
We also uploaded several shorts & reels, some educational, some about collections, and others for entertainment! We like to mix things up a bit to give you everything you need for your Sims experience! You can always find our short-form videos on TikTok, Pinterest, Instagram, or YouTube!
Look Of The Week, LOTW

So now that you know what happened in February at TSR, we have to cover the community! What have Simmers been up to in February? Let’s check it out in the Sims Community part of this TSR February newsletter!
CC Trends
For CC trends for creation, downloads, and requests, I have seen some particular themes; masculine cc, fandom, celebrities, and face details. Skin and face CC details are trending, especially for Masculine Sims. So, let’s look at these trends and see what we can figure out!
Fandom
The trending Fandom CC is a wide variety of Simmers. I am seeing anything from My Little Ponies to Percy Jackson. Then, many created Sims are popping up regarding animated series on Netflix. Making Sims based on characters is a lot of fun! I love to do this, and I know others do, too, so it is no surprise this is trending!
Celeb Style
Celebrity styles are almost always trending in some fashion with Simmers and CC. Celebrities are generally trendsetters anyway, so again, no surprises here. Celebrities from Instagram, TikTok, and Musicians seem to be in the limelight for Simmers.
Masculine CC
Masculine CC is one of the most requested areas of CC we see at TSR. And we have loads of it. If you are looking for Masculine CC, I suggest McLayneSims, Beto, Oranos, and SimmieV for clothes. If you are looking for beards and facial hair, Seleng and David_Mtv. Of course, there are loads more creators that make masculine CC so happy downloading!
Skin & Face Details
Skin and Face details are another area many Simmers want to download, and we have plenty of that here at TSR! Making a Sim look more realistic with freckles, blemishes, eyebags, and all those little details seems to complete the Sim better. So, if you are looking for skins, look HERE and find Masculine-styled Face Details HERE.
Trending Gameplay
I am noticing several themes in how Simmers play their game. Of course, there are always those of us who prefer creating Sims, building, decorating, or gameplay, but these are the themes I am seeing.
Builds with Rentals
One of the areas I am seeing a lot of builds from is the newer For Rent Pack. Some incredible builds are happening with this pack in the Simming community, and I love to see it!
Fandom
For fandom, I have seen some amazing Baldur’s Gate-inspired Sims and Percy Jackson-inspired Sims. This is, of course, my preferred way to play, as I love creating Sims!
Rags to Riches Streams
In the last month, I have watched a lot of Rags to Riches streams! For those who don’t know, this challenge is where you take a Sim and have them go from 0 Simoleans to being loaded. There are different ways to play; usually, each generation has conditions, but that is the general principle of the challenge.
Breeding out the Vlad
Here we are still stuck on Vlad. LOL, Just kidding; he is a fascinating and unique character. The current Vlad trend is the Breeding Out The Vlad Challenge. This is a generation challenge where you have a Sim, have a child with Vlad, and then see how many generations it takes to breed those robust Vladdy features.
The Sims News
So, what happened with The Sims in February? Quite a bit, actually. A drop, a pack announced, and an update!
The Drop
There was a content drop in February for all Simmers; this drop was a collaboration with celebrity Winnie Harlow. This drop includes a set of Vitiligo Skin features that Simmers can add to their Sims! You can find out more about this collaboration HERE.
The Upcoming Pack (March 1st)
The Stuff Pack announced is called The Sims 4 Crystal Creations Stuff Pack, so I was right on my prediction with the clues, as many Simmers were! The one aspect I find most exciting about this pack is that The Sims teamed up with CC creator ArethaBee to create the items. I love seeing this collab and hope to see more! This Stuff pack is said to launch on March 1st, so you know I will have to snag it and take a look!
2/27/2024 Game Update
At the end of February, a game update looks to have fixed quite a few small bugs in the For Rent Pack and some other packs. You can find the complete list of updated details HERE. The new update changes some of the core structure of how the game reads game resources, and there have been reports of some Simmers having crashes.

Upcoming to TSR
As always, we have loads of everything Sims planned for March! More Custom Content, Collections, blogs, videos, memes, improvements, and more… well, everything Sims. We are the Sims Resource, after all. We will always be bringing you more CC. However, in March, we have plans for a special collection and more CC that is trending and requested! You can find updates on the main home page as they are released or on our social media accounts.
We are working super hard to bring you the best possible user experience on TSR, so you probably noticed the site was down a couple of times this month for maintenance. This was done to improve the site’s performance and security. There were also a couple of VIP Subscriber polls and discussions; we are currently evaluating the information we received so that we can prioritize what TSR users would like to see.
We know everyone loves memes, CC, polls, and giveaways! So, we are totally adding more mini-contests to our schedule! They will be super easy and all about Sims! We are also excited to announce that we are adding streaming to our schedule so you can catch us live on Twitch starting March 7th at 1:00pm EST US to 2:30pm EST US every Tuesday and Thursday!
