What is TSR
So what is The Sims Resource or TSR? Well, we aim to be your resource on everything, Sims! Obviously, we are known more for our artist’s amazing CC, but from CC to newsletters and tutorials, we have covered everything for you. We also have a VIP Discord and online community in which we promote creativity and having fun with gaming. We’ve been around since before the very first Sims game launched, and August 27th is our 25th Anniversary, making us the very first Sims fansite.

So that we can bring you the very best Sims content, we keep some 200 or so badged artists supported for what they continue to upload to our site daily. We don’t expect them to do that for free. You can be selected as one of our talented artists by uploading to The Sims Resource. We look for consistently good work and will reach out to you if we think you have what it takes and need more content of the type you’re creating. In short, yes, we pay all creators who are awarded one of our artist’s badges a cash payment!
How to Become an Artist
So, how do you become an Artist on The Sims Resource? Is there an application? We look for creators in all types of creation. When we review an artist’s potential, these are some of the criteria we look for:
Does your work meet EA’s technical standards, such as polycount or texture sizes?
Is it of high quality?
Are the screen previews of excellent quality, and do they stand out?
Are your creations in any way unique?
Do your submissions carry meaningful titles and descriptions, and is the form always completed fully?
And are all your recent creations consistent with the above?
Sometimes, we also need to consider whether we already have too much of a particular type of creation. If we do, it might take a while before a new opening.
No application is needed. We have staff who quality-control submissions to help ensure uploaded content is of a good standard. Our site staff spot talent as work processes through our uploading service and will contact you if they think you should have a badge! We usually wait until you’ve uploaded many times to see that you’re consistently at a high level.

The Sims Resource is run by Simmers! For example, not to date ourselves, but Queenie, MissCatSims, Jezi, and Emma have played since the original Sims game. Our submissions and support staff are also all Simmers! This way, we can provide you with the best possible experience for your Sims. We run this site for you, our community of players and creators who are as passionate as we are. This is YOUR site; as such, we want to make it a place you’ll love, where you’ll feel valued, safe, and part of our family.

Since we pay our artists, we have to have a way to pay them, and ads and VIP subscriptions are how we accomplish this. We do not require you to be a VIP subscriber to download from our site. However, there are some perks if you do choose to subscribe;
