This Sims 4 Fire Started in the Last Place You’d Expect

Sims 4 Trash fire

Anyone who plays The Sims 4 knows that quite literally anything is possible. If you can imagine it, chances are, you can do it. From flaming toilets to smoking trashcans, it’s possible. And today, we’re investigating the mysterious trash fire that happened in a toddler’s room. Was this a case of playing with matches or something else entirely?

Blazing Trash Fire

Over on r/the simsLari_farii noticed that their toddler’s trash can was on fire! It sits in the corner of the room, in a blaze of fire, burning away. The real mystery is: how did it start? Well, it turns out that it was the radiator in the toddler’s room! It must have gotten too hot and caught the trash can on fire! No mysterious fires here! Just your regular type of fire. New lesson learned when building in the Sims: don’t use radiators.

How does that even happen?!

The Radiator???

Apparently, the radiator fire burned its way through the toddler’s bed to the trash can. Luckily for OP, toddlers can’t catch on fire. Otherwise, the toddler would have been cooked alive! Phew. After removing the radiator, no more mysterious fires spread through the house. And OP’s toddler is completely unfazed! Yeah, my bed just caught on fire, but I’ll keep snoozing, says the toddler, obviously too snug in their bed to be alarmed by the flame.

If you have a young one at home in The Sims 4, it’s best to keep the radiators out of the room. But in our view, it’s best not to have them at all. There are other ways to keep your Sims warm without risking baking them alive!  Dag Dag!
