Sometimes things that shouldn’t be possible in The Sims 4 still happen. Hybrids, for instance, technically aren’t meant to exist, but the game allows them anyway, resulting in some pretty wonky-looking Sims. They can even behave in odd ways and break the Needs panel UI.
While some hybrids work well enough, others do not. Today, we’re talking about one that causes a lot of issues for players: the vampire/werewolf hybrid. Reddit user no_one_hi discovered just how wonky hybrids can get and posted to r/LowSodiumSimmers, seeking help to explain what they had created. They asked whether this was normal, and almost every comment told them their Sim was an abomination.
Is this normal? A vampire/werewolf hybrid?

When playing with occults and creating offspring with other Sims, the game is meant to choose just one occult trait. Otherwise, you get Sims like the one OP has. Most hybrids, other than Ghost hybrids, are purely glitches that have not been patched out yet. Some players like to use these glitches to create odd Sims, either for fun or for storytelling purposes. Others stumble upon them by accident while trying to play out storylines between “forbidden” occults.
If you are a PC player and the idea of a hybrid Sim sounds exciting but risky, installing both MCCC by Deaderpool and Occult Hybrid Unlocker & Stabilizer lets you have hybrid Sims that are not as glitchy. If you are on console, you are unfortunately out of luck, as EA has not yet added a stable feature for hybrids. Dag dag!
