The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Build & Buy Review

The Sims 4 Royalty and Legacy Expansion Pack was released on February 12, 2026, and let me tell you this Pack is PACKED with new content! In this review, we are going to focus on the Build and Buy items. If you missed the CAS review, you can find it HERE.  There are 245+ items in the Build and Buy section in the Royalty and Legacy Expansion Pack, so we are going to try to highlight as many as we can.

Build Items

Royalty and Legacy Expansion Pack Stairs

The new update with shaping stairs and building items just makes a staircase shine with regal elegance. It’s simple, but so refined that it is perfection.

Walls

Royalty and Legacy Expansion Pack Walls

I am not normally a fan of murals, but these are stunning. There are all sorts of wall coverings themed for all three kingdoms in the new world of the Expansion. Some basics work well with any aesthetic. Not to mention, many of these wall coverings come in a variety of shades.

Landscaping/Water/Pool/Fountains

So much to cover here, and it’s all absolutely stunning. Just wait until you see screenshots of the world’s landscaping in-game. I was stunned. So gorgeous! There are new plants and new wall plants, a new fountain border, a new pool border, and of course, that Mediterranean hue for water. The new water tone absolutely elevates everything.

Look at this garden and the statues. Beautiful, just beautiful. The statues can actually go on the top of the roof, too, making them all the more versatile.

Roof/Paint/Wall Decor/Floors

So many new terrain paints with so many different uses! There is literally so much here in the Royalty and Legacy Expansion Pack that it will transform your builds. I have not seen anything I dislike yet; everything makes sense.

Buy Items

Again, we are here for the variety in the Royalty and Legacy Expansion Pack. I am in LOVE with that chaise lounger. Also, the boat, if you put it on land, it goes into land storage mode, in the water, water transport, which is so neat!

Furniture

The above collage of images is from the lots in Bellacorde, which, according to other reviews and Google, is themed to resemble Italy. The elegance and charm in these designs remind me of the show Bridgerton, and I cannot wait to see all these themed gameplays that are about to start!

Next, we have Dambele, which is styled in a West African aesthetic. The patterns in the items in the Dambele theme are bold, colorful, and absolutely stunning.

Finally, we have Verdemar, which is, according to Google and other reviews, styled like Portugal. This dark green shade is gorgeous and very vibrant, and I generally do not enjoy bright colors.

Decor

And now we have the decorations, again, there is so much here, and a lot of variety in uses. Of all things, I really like the fruit displays, mirrior and boat. You would think I’d like the crown or jewelry the most, but those lemons look amazing! And I will probably put them in every kitchen. Royalty and Legacy Expansion Pack Decor

Thrones

And now to the Throne Rooms! Rather than me trying to build one, we will leave it for the experts and show each of the Kingdom’s Throne Rooms.

Final Thoughts

I will be 100% honest, this review was a bit overwhelming with the amount of content after the large amount of CAS content in the previous review.  Generally Expansion with higher amounts of CAS items, like this one, have lower amounts of Build and Buy items. However, with the Royalty and Legacy Expansion Pack, that is not the case. Not to mention the three extra items from the Royal Treasures Digital Content, two of which are Build/Buy items. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining, just stating this is A LOT of content. So hopefully I have done it justice in capturing enough to show you the beauty of these items.

Royalty and Legacy Expansion PackPersonally, I have not been this impressed with an Expansion Pack’s content since Life and Death’s quality and style of CAS content. The quality and variety of these items in the Build/Buy of Royalty and Legacy is, hands down, amazing. I really enjoy that there are specific aesthetics to each of the three ‘kingdoms’ or neighborhoods, and there are items specifically tailored to each and items that work with all three kingdoms. I am blown away at the moment and incredibly excited to take a look at the gameplay in the Royalty and Legacy Expansion Pack.
