Patch Day Disaster
Yesterday, Electronic Arts released the March 17th update. The patch was very hefty, so hefty in fact, that it broke many mods. And in more ways than one. According to The Sims Team, when releasing the patch, it had broken the ability to load mods for many players! For some, none of their mods and custom content showed up. For others, it was only some of their mods and content that were missing.

The Sims Team Update
How did this happen? The exact cause remains unclear, but The Sims Team was quick to respond to the incident, reassuring players that the team would get to the bottom of the issue. Cade, a member of the team, announced that they were actively looking into and to look here to report an issue.
If you update today, do you still need to worry about the mod issues? According to The Sims Team, the latest has been released to fix the mod loading issue. However, many mods remain broken as the update impacted a wide range of of autonomy options, the user interface, and much more. So while the loading issue is resolved, keep in mind that mods will still be affected until individually fixed by their creator!
