The Sims 4 Mermaids Glitch: Another Fish Outta Water
Yep, you read it right. We have another Sims 4 mermaid glitch on our hands. What is up with these scaly drama queens? The Sims 4 promised us an occult that is elegant and mystical, but instead, we have these glitchy guppies.
Hydration? Optional. Tail physics? Irrelevant. We have mermaids who walk on land with their tails, and now mermaids who sleep in their beds fully fished out. What’s next? Are we going to have mermaids walking down the street with their tails out?
If you’ve owned Island Living long enough, you’ll have most likely run into a bug or two (or many) when playing with our scaly friends. And if you don’t believe me, just check out the chaos players are reporting on the EA Forums or the Reddit Sims Community.
History Repeats Itself
We’ve even reported on these crazy bugs before! Back in October, we’ve reported about a glitch where a mermaid was swimming through the floor. It seems our scaly friends are a very glitchy occult. But not to worry! It’s an easy fix (most of the time) to fix these problems.
How to Fix the Bug
Simply press ‘Shift+Ctrl+C’ and enter ‘testingcheats true’. After doing so, Shift+Click your Sim and hit the option that says ‘reset object’. Mostly, this will work to revert your mermaid back to its original form. But every now and then, our Sims decide that we don’t control them (yeah, right) and do what they want anyway.
So if your mermaid suddenly decides to do whatever their fishy minds think of, don’t panic. Just reset them!
