It’s official… The Sims 2: University will be the first expansion pack! The theme is (of course) university life ,and it is expected to hit the shelves sometime in March 2005.
From the sound of things, we will be seeing our Sims transform from children into young adults that are ready to get out into the world!
There will most likely be a new neighborhood with lots of new faces for your Sims to hang out with! The EA press release mentioned coffee houses, lounges, pool halls, and gyms as some of the areas Sims may be able to hang out. Once they make it to college, they can choose from one of 11 majors—4 of them can lead to new jobs once a degree is obtained.
Since we already have a medical career path, could this mean that Dr.Sim will never need a degree? Or will he/she have to study hard to climb that ladder? Just something to ponder!
Paying for school and after-school activities is probably not going to come cheap, so there will also be a few part-time jobs for them. There aren’t too many more details about the expansion pack yet, but I am sure that will change over the next few months!
