Who is ready to spice up their gameplay with the upcoming Sims 4 Expansion Pack? That is right a brand new hot Expansion Pack is coming out on July 25th to the Sims. The Lovestruck Expansion Pack already has Simmers talking about all the new romantic possibilities. Let’s dive into the exciting highlights we’ve picked up from these super hot trailers and official updates about this expansion pack! 😄
What is Lovestruck
So what is Lovestruck? Well if you are an original Simmer you probably remember Hot Date. Lovestruck appears to be a more modern and spicier spin of Hot Date. It is still early and official information is limited, but so far that is what we are all seeing, an expansion pack full of romance and dating!
What is New in Lovestruck
Again official releases of a listing of items have not been made public yet, but we only have to wait until the 25th for Lovestruck to be released. However, we can see certain things from the Lovestruck trailers and the official releases. There is also an official Developer livestream on the 18th that will most definitely give us some more information on this pack!
Past Expansion Experiences
From past Expansion Experiences and the information provided by the official trailers and articles, we can deduce that there will be new Create A Sim content, Build/Buy items, as well as new Gameplay features. We also have seen through official channels there is a new world Ciudad Enamorada.
Ciudad Enamorada
From the official images and videos, we have seen peaks at the lovely world of Ciudad Enamorada. This city looks very lovely and busy with plenty of places for your Single Sims to hang out and mingle. According to the articles about the new Expansion Pack, there will be numerous places for Sims to WooHoo in Ciudad Enamorada, taking Bush PDA to another level in what appears to be a roll-up blanket. There is also talk of room renting for hook-ups or a hotel-like lot type “Beso Rápido” which would be a new feature to the game. This new world is also said to have three neighborhoods full of romantic charm to put your Sims in the mood for love!
Create A Sim & Build/Buy
Because expansion packs are larger than game packs, stuff packs, and kits we will no doubt see a good amount of Create a Sim and Build/Buy content. As in the past expansion packs have included over 200+ CAS and Build/Buy additions to our game.
Through the videos and images released we have already noticed several things… aside from the costumes! The first two I personally noticed were the nostalgic heart-shaped bed and what appeared to be eyelashes. Aside from those two elements I also saw new clothing, new hair, new items and decor, and… rounded pools. But don’t worry we will take a look and let you know as soon as possible!
Early Purchase Items
Like with most packs if you purchase the Lovestruck Expansion Pack early enough you get some extra items. These extra items include the ‘Cry Me a River Eyeliner’, ‘Herbert Heart Plushie’, and ‘Basic Breakup Double Bed’. To get these additional three items, you must purchase the Expansion Pack before September 5, 2024. *Side note the names of these items make me think this pack will have LOTS of drama. And I am here for the tea!

Gameplay
The Lovestruck Expansion Pack is going to have loads of new gameplay features. With just watching the trailer and reading official articles it is clear there will be a ton of hot new interactions and gameplay for your Sims! There is also said to be a relationship boundaries update for all Simmers that will introduce the ability for Sims to date more than one Sim.
The theme of this expansion is romance and dating, so these are going to be the core points of the entire pack. The following is a list of what we know as of now to be coming in the Lovestruck Expansion Pack.

Jezi’s Thoughts on Lovestruck
For those of us who do not want the Welcome Wagon to Hitched Sim experience all in one day… This upcoming Expansion Pack offers a lot of gameplay to fill in those storyline gaps. This pack and the new update also give Simmers a bit more control over the romantic preferences and storylines of our Sims. All in my eyes positives. Many of us like to create unique Sims or even play as our Simself. From what I see from the upcoming Lovestruck Expansion Pack there is more opportunity for better gameplay and control over our Sims romantic preference.
I am all for more creative options in The Sims 4, whether it be gameplay, CAS, or build/buy, I personally say the more the better as Simmers are worldwide and all have unique experiences, it is nice to see the game evolving to meet more creative ways of playing The Sims 4.
