Well, Isn’t This An Awkward Family Tree?
Only yesterday, we stated that cousins cannot be romantic partners, so don’t even try it. Well, the patch made some mistakes for preexisting family trees…and it’s kind of awkward.
While scrolling r/Sims4, we came across a post provided by Jane_Akanami about a legacy sim married to her cousin. You’re most definitely not supposed to romance your cousins, but updates are notorious for messing with what shouldn’t be. Just to be clear, they were not originally cousins. What a doosie!
Family tree is messed up, I found out my legacy sim is married to her cousin. And it looks like this.

Maybe looking for love at your family reunion isn’t the best idea. And now everyone should be on the lookout within their saves to make sure nothing has been…rearranged. That one townie your Sim has known briefly? Suddenly, your great aunt!
Unfortunately, we don’t believe there is anything to be done for your cousin-loving Sims. A patch can fix so much, but there are always things that break or bug in response. Hopefully, the Sims Team can find a way to fix these family wreaths, I mean family trees!
