Reddit user fluffhq has created a very useful Cowplant infographic for the Sims 4. It contains everything you need to know from obtaining a Cowplant Berry to growing your Cowplant. Find out what happens when you don’t feed it regularly!
How to Obtain a Cowplant Berry
It all starts with a Cowplant Berry. There are multiple sources on how to get one.
- You can get it from Grafting, which requires Gardening Level 5.
- It can be harvested from planter boxes at Spice Festival Market in San Myshuno on Friday 5 PM – 1:00 AM, every two weeks.
- You will get it after completing an errand for Garden Shop Owner Agnes Crumplebottom from Henford-on-Bagley.
- Completing a favor for Order of Lenore’s Ghost Host Esther Games from Mourningvale, Ravenwood will net you one too.
- You can get one from exploring The Underground Crypys in Ravenwood until you come across The Box of Death.
- Chance-based sources include Fishing, Rare Seed Packets, exploring Space, and the Finschwick Fair Garden Shop. You will find more details about each in the infographic linked at the bottom of the article.
Growing a Cowplant
Once you plant a Cowplant Berry, it takes 4 days for the Cowplant to mature. If you have the Super Green Thumb trait, this time is reduced to just 2 days.
The Cowplant must be fed daily once grown. If left unfed for 12 hours, it will lure Sims with a cake. It withers after you don’t feed it for 24 hours.
What Happens When Your Cowplant Withers?
Fortunately, you don’t need to obtain more Cowplant Berries when you let your Cowplant wither. Instead, you can simply click on it and revive it for §100.
Cake & Death by Cowplant
- As mentioned above, the Cowplant will lure Sims with a cake when you don’t feed it for 12 hours.
- During the first bite, Sims get swallowed and spat out by the Cowplant, which gives them the Drained moodlet.
- When the Sims takes a second bite while Drained, it’s killed and eaten by the Cowplant.
- Hungry Sims will autonomously take the first bite, but the lethal bite must be forced by the player.
