Having a pool in The Sims 4 can sometimes be a death wish. Sims will swim until they’re exhausted and sink to the bottom of the pool. Other times, they’ll go out to sit by the pool…in the middle of winter. Surely, looking out your window and seeing a blanket of snow in your yard would deter a Sim from chilling by the pool. However, Sims aren’t known for their intelligence, and a Sims 4 Winter Pool proves it!
Going to Chill
If you’ve ever owned a pool in The Sims, then you know exactly what we’re talking about! It’s absolute chaos. You want a nice pool for your Sims, but they never use it properly. Either they swim in it all day until they can’t swim anymore, or they go out for a dip when it’s freezing outside. Building a fence around the pool ruins the aesthetic you’ve spent so long creating, but you can’t really have your Sims dying all the time, can you?
Over on r/Sims4, Reddit user u/Adventurous-Youth321 has a Sim with a clear death wish. It’s the middle of winter, below freezing, and this Sim wants to go sit by the pool and do their homework. They dip their toes in the icy water while studying algebra! At this point, it feels like letting your Sims do whatever they want is the best option. They’ll do what they want anyway, it seems!
We as players try to care for our Sims and keep them out of danger. Most of us do, at least. However, they just keep doing the same old stupid thing. Why can’t they listen?! They do stupid things that lead them to death, and then act surprised that their actions had consequences. Luckily for OP, their Sim didn’t freeze to death. But it still seems like the kid had a death wish. Maybe the pool stays closed off for the winter! The pool is closed for the season!
