We’ll start with the ghost methods. Death by Fire. Have the Sim die in a fire and become a playable ghost. When angry, the ghost Sim can start fires only on Household-owned lots. To start a fire on the desired lot, click the ground and select ‘Start Fire‘. This method requires Life & Death.
The next occult method is Death by Sunlight. To die from sunlight, you need a vampire Sim. Have them burn away in the sunlight and become a playable ghost. Similar to Death by Fire, it’s only available on Household-owned lots. To start the fire, become angry and click on the ground. Select ‘Start Fire‘. This method requires Vampires.
Methods of the Occult
Following up with other occult ways to start a fire is Inferniate. Inferniate is a spell that can burn Sims, objects, or the ground. The selected Sim must be a Spellcaster to cast this spell. Once you unlock the spell, you can cast it by clicking the target Sim or object and selecting ‘Inferniate‘. You’ll need Realm of Magic for this method.
Up next, we have Death’s Touch. To use this method, you must reach level 10 of the Reaper Career to become Grim’s Right Hand. To use this, select an object and select ‘Death’s Touch‘. There is a 40% chance that it will start a fire after 1 hour and 40 minutes. To do this, you need Life & Death.
Sillier Ways To Start A Fire
Now, let’s get into some of the sillier ways to start a fire. The Evil Glare. To achieve the Evil Glare, a Sim must either drink Obsidian Milk or eat a meal prepared with an Obsidian egg. The affected Sim gets a moodlet called Midnight Meal, which lasts 2 hours. Click an object and select ‘Evil Glare’ to set it on fire. To do this, you need Cottage Living.
If your child Sim has been looking for ways to start a fire, an Evil Imaginary Friend might be exactly what they need. The Sim must increase Bad Influence to unlock the ability to Ask to Teach How to Start Fires. Once learned, the tiny pyromaniac can select an object and start a fire. The required pack is Adventure Awaits.
Mysterious Methods
Have an aspiring business owner who needs to undermine another business? Need it to look like an accident? There’s just the method for that! To do so, have a registered Small Business. Then buy the Fire Starter business perk. After the perk has been bought, click on an object and select ‘Accidentally Light on Fire’. Business & Hobbies is required for this method.
For the final way to start a fire: Don’t Wake The Llama. The selected Sim must reach level 6 of the Mischief skill. Locate a Don’t Wake The Llama game table. Then select a game piece. Now, you can select ‘Set on Fire‘. Remember, the table must not be in use or knocked over to set it on fire. You need the Get Together or Little Campers Kit to use it.
