Who is ready to check out the August Sims 4 Marketplace Drops? I, for one, was super excited to see the Mean Girls Capsule Kit (even having most of the items already as CC), and there are totally more Maker Kits and DLC for Simmers on the Marketplace. So let’s check out all the new DLC Kits released for The Sims 4 in August.

What is The Marketplace
The Marketplace is EA/The Sims DLC purchase portal and now a website. There are approved ‘Makers’ or Custom Content (CC) Creators who post their Packs, all of which are EA-approved for purchase on the portal. The Marketplace can be accessed directly in-game, so it can be quite convenient to use, as the items are instantly available for your gameplay. However, there is a lot of controversy with the Sims Community and the Marketplace, which you can read about HERE.
What is New for August
So there is a good bit here, including 9 Maker Kits and 2 Capsule Kits. If you are not aware, Maker Kits are created by Community CC Creators who are approved for the Maker program and follow EA’s guidelines for uploads. The Capsule Kits are new, and this month’s include DLC from iconic IRL movies.
Please note that the Maker Packs labeled ‘Moola’ can be purchased with real-life currency. I have also noted the free items as of now; this may change at any time.

Capsule Kits
Alright, so Capsule Kits are new, and we are not sure whether this term will stick. Is it a new feature, or is it a term for, like, a throwback to nostalgic, iconic themes like Mean Girls and Clueless? These Kits really remind me of the SpongeBob kits, just with a little less in them, and they are a dollar cheaper here in the USA.

Final Thoughts
There was a lot of DLC released on the Sims 4 Marketplace in August. It is starting to feel like the Sims 3’s Marketplace like system where it at times the DLC content was coming out so fast it was hard to keep track of. Luckily me doing these monthly blogs deffinatly helps!
