The Sims 4 is having a Maker Pack Sale! Select Maker Packs are up to 15% off. I know that doesn’t sound like much, but a discount is a discount, and at least some of that money goes directly to the artist. The Sale items appear to be the older, date-released Maker Packs, starting with the Simonne Set by Mechtasims. It’s not all of the Maker Packs before that, but most of them are. Of course, most of them are the ones I already have.
What is the Marketplace and What are Maker Packs?
Before we go too far into this sale, the Marketplace is EA/The Sims DLC purchase portal and now a website. There are approved ‘Makers’ or Custom Content (CC) Creators who post their Packs, all of which are EA-approved for purchase on the portal. You can access the Marketplace directly in-game, which can be convenient, since items are instantly available for gameplay. However, the Sims community has been very vocal about the Marketplace, and you can read about the controversy HERE.
Which Packs Are On Sale?
Alright, to get a clear picture of what’s on sale, I signed out of my EA account so I could see everything, since I own several of the older Maker Packs. So let’s see which Maker Packs are on sale. Final Thoughts
If you’re looking to get any of these Maker Packs, now is probably a great time, since a sale is a sale. I often wait for Sims 4 packs and DLC to go on sale before buying them, because, let’s be 100% honest, gaming is EXPENSIVE, and The Sims 4 is one of those super expensive games if you have a good bit of DLC.
