It’s summertime, and even your Sims cannot escape the heatwave! Sims 4 heatwave? You might ask What does that even look like? Well, one player found out in the most brutal accident ever… can we call this an accident? How is it even so hot in the Sims? The realism and timing on this is surreal!
A Burning Hot Slide
You’re a young Sim enjoying the sun, as blistering as it is. You’re playing at the park, blissfully unaware of the evil that lurks. A scorching hot slide awaits your descent. You slide down it, and it’s just so hot that it catches you on fire! Owie!! That hurt! Let’s do it again. Just kidding, this Sim didn’t actually go down the slide. Their creator kept them safe and sound, instead, worried about what would happen if they made their descent down the slide.
When you click on a slide in the summertime, and it says, “Slide Down A Burning Hot Slide (Don’t Do It!),” we wouldn’t have our Sim go down it either. That sounds like 3rd-degree burns in the making for that poor Sim. Reddit user Dearjayme had just aged up their Sim to a child and wanted to create a playground for the young Sim, completely forgetting about the heatwave outside! The player watched the Sim slide down that burning-hot slide, saw the warning, and decided against having the kid slide today. Maybe another day, right?
Should We Try the Slide?
But hey, the interaction isn’t grayed out, so if you’re a curious player, nothing is stopping you from finding out exactly what happens to your Sim. Though personally, I advise against it. Some comments warn that if you go down it, your Sim catches on fire! Really catching on fire in The Sims 4 isn’t really a rare event; it happens every other day for some players. But the idea of a poor kid Sim going for a slide and getting caught on fire from a Sims 4 heatwave is honestly a little sad. They just wanna have some summer fun! We think they should sit this one out, though. Catching on fire doesn’t seem very fun. Dag dag
