Gnomes are fickle creatures. You wouldn’t think it would be that hard to please a gnome, right? You’d be wrong! Those darn gnomes are hardly ever grateful for anything you give them. They dare to show up on your lot during Harvestfest, demanding goodies. Trying to embody the Harvestfest spirit, you try to be friendly and give them a piece of pie or a cup of coffee. Big mistake!

If you own The Sims 4 Seasons, you’re familiar with gnomes. Most players find them to be absolutely annoying. We agree. Simmers who haven’t removed the gnomes from Harvestfest still deal with yearly harassment every in-game year, however. For example, players like Reddit user u/GoblinMonk.
OP tried to be nice to the gnomes and give them a present to earn their good favor. But these gnomes are ungrateful! The gnomes received fruitcake and were immediately outraged. Well, we can’t really blame them for that reaction. Who even likes fruitcake? Stop bringing it to the Welcome Wagon, and definitely don’t include it at Harvestfest! Though those gnomes really could have been more grateful! They don’t have to like the gift, but they can still be grateful. Isn’t that the whole point of Harvestfest?

Gnomes are more trouble than they’re worth! This is why players shove the gnomes into the recycler for simoleons! Next time they’re on your lot, don’t even bother trying to appease them. They’re just too picky. Throw them in a recycler or sell them through your inventory. Then you’ll have enough simoleons for Winterfest!
