Following the Sims 4 October 27, 2026 update, a few Simmers on our Facebook page reported something unusual happening in Create A Sim (CAS). According to these reports, a possible Sims 4 CAS Body Type Glitch was causing randomly generated Sims to appear with extremely thin body types instead of the usual variety of shapes and sizes.
Testing the Random-Generated Sim CAS Glitch
After seeing a few reports of this glitch, I jumped right into Create A Sim and started generating Sims randomly to see if I could recreate the issue. For this test I decided that 5 feminine frames and 5 masculine frames should produce enough evidence to see if this glitch was occuring in my game as well.

As you can see from my screenshots, I ended up with Sims featuring a variety of body types. Some were thinner, while others had fuller figures and different proportions. From what I could tell, the randomization was working as expected during my testing.

And of course all these randomly generated Sims are coming out in their best random fashions ever.
How to Report an EA Glitch
If you encounter this glitch or another in The Sims 4, reporting it can help EA investigate and repair the issue. Here is how to report the Glitch to EA:
- Visit the EA Forums.
- Navigate to The Sims 4 Bug Reports section.
-
Search for an existing report about your issue.
Final Thoughts
Does that mean the glitch doesn’t exist? Not necessarily! Sims 4 glitches can be unpredictable, and just because something isn’t happening in one game doesn’t mean other players aren’t experiencing it.
After my experiment and noticing it is not necessarily happening in this batch I looked to google, which suggestes that with the new musucle and weight changes and toggles CAS randomizer may be defaulted to a more slender baseleine tempate. Other suggestions from the interentet include that this may also be happening due to mod conflicts; more notable body slider systems.
If you do get this glitch the work around would be to just adjust the body type after you use the randomizer. If you have sliders or other CAS releated mods you can also try deleting your localthumbcache.package file in your Sims 4 Folders.
I will definately be keeping an eye out on this glitch and for more, so until next time Happy Simming!
