Every Sim parent knows that milestones are an important part of a Sim’s life. From their first blow-out to their first visitor, each one matters. Usually, a young Sim’s first visitor is their grandparents or neighbors stopping by to check in. But for Reddit user u/lazysoups‘s infant, their first visitors were the fire department!
Fiery Visitor
A Sim’s life can go wrong in so many ways in such little time. They’re making grilled cheese for the family; next thing they know, half the kitchen is on fire. The Sim picks up the baby and sprints outside, panicked and yelling. The firefighters pull up to the lot, ready to fight. Clutching the infant closer, they watch as the team fights the fire. But the infant? She’s snuggled against their chest, smiling because she just had her first visitor!
When you’re a young Sim that’s new to the world, we guess we can’t blame them for being so excited about something small while everything else is going wrong! While everything she knows is up in flames, she’s babbling about the new people in the red suits. That will surely be a memory to add to the scrapbook!

It looks like Sims can’t ever catch a break, young or old. The parents are dealing with a fire and insurance claims while their daughter is jabbering to herself about what’s going on around her, peeking over their caregiver’s arm to see more. She’s certainly unbothered! But the funniest part of this whole situation? The Sim who sprang into action is the one who can’t stand kids!
Poor Daron is literally dying on the inside from being near the child, but is enduring it for her safety. You gotta give it to him! He’s terrified of the fire and overstimulated by being near the kid, but he’s toughing it out to protect the kids. Parent of the year award goes to Daron! Let’s just hope this doesn’t happen again.
