Most Sims Players Missed This CAS Feature for a Full Year

A Feature in The Sims 4 that Players Don't Notice

What Is the “Apply to All” Feature?

Electronic Arts rolled out an update in July 2024 that was a game-changer! With this new feature, you can duplicate accessories, clothes, makeup, and hair to other outfits in just a moment. When it was first released, many players were excited by the feature, as it was a first-of-its-kind. For anyone who builds detailed Sims with multiple items, it felt like EA had listened to Create A Sim-based players.

As you can see in the image above, you can copy the item you want to any of the outfits or even all of the outfits! It is an extremely useful feature for us CAS lovers! Unfortunately, if you like to have your Sims have several outfits under each category, you cannot copy all. Even so, it still removes a huge chunk of repetitive work and makes the process feel much smoother.

So Sneaky That Some Simmers Missed It

Not everyone realized that The Sims has had this feature for a little over a year, and that’s okay! We’re here to bring it to their attention! It slipped in quietly in the July 2024 update, and mostly, players who enjoy Create A Sim were the ones who spotted it. We have to admit, it does blend into the preexisting CAS UI so naturally that if you aren’t paying much attention, you won’t even realize that it is there. Now that more players are discovering it, the feature is quickly becoming a tool that gets used in everyday gameplay that they can’t believe they missed before.

So if you are one of those unfortunate souls who didn’t notice it before, run to Create A Sim and try the feature out! Trust us, it truly is a game-changer. There hasn’t been a day since that July that I haven’t used it for my Sims!
