So you’ve lost a Sim, eh? Wandered off, and now you have no idea where they went? No worries! We’re here to help you find them. There are quite a few ways to find a missing Sim, and we’re here to make sure you know them. After this guide, you’ll be ready to track down any Sim who wanders off!
The Relationship Panel
Ah, the wonderful Relationship Panel. At times, it’s annoying when the game logs literally any Sim you’ve even waved at, but in moments like these, it’s a game saver. Scrolling through the Relationship Panel can help you see if the Sim is still active in the world. Click on their portrait. If they’re nearby, you’ll get an option to focus the camera on the missing Sim. If they’re not nearby, you can try to invite them.
The camera may point you in the right direction, but the Sim may not actually be there. Sims do like to wander off! The Sim may have wandered off into an area that shouldn’t be accessible. We’ve seen Sims walk off into the water or hide in rocks!
Manage Worlds
Couldn’t find the pesky Sim through the relationship panel? Don’t panic; all hope isn’t lost yet. By going to Manage Worlds, you can see literally every Sim that exists in your save. Be sure to thoroughly look through all of the Sims listed! It’s really easy to overlook them. Looking through “Not in World” can be quite helpful as well, as sometimes Sims get moved from their home for whatever reason.
If you can find the Sim, it’s best to move them into your active households. This helps you keep an eye on them. Sometimes glitches can make Sims do weird things, making them hard to find!
Reset Sim
If everything else has failed, resetting the Sim might be your best option if you know their name! This cheat is particularly helpful if a Sim finds themselves stuck in an object. Trust us, it happens. We’ve seen a baby trapped in a rock before. Open the cheat code console by simultaneously pressing CTRL + Shift + C. Type resetSim FirstName LastName and replace the FirstName and LastName with their actual name.
This will reset the Sim and hopefully spawn them nearby, or at least out of whatever object they were hidden in. If even this method fails, the Sim may have disappeared into the Nether. Glitches happen all the time, and sometimes they snatch the Sim’s soul.
Did You Find Them?
If your Sim was missing, did you find them? Were they in a rock again? We would be far from surprised! Unfortunately for us, Sims will do as they please, even if it is completely idiotic. We hope that this guide helped you find your missing Sim! Dag Dag!
