With the addition of unicorns officially in the game, I had to start decorating a unicorn room! There is a lot of Unicorn CC already here at TSR, so I figured my ranch needed a Unicorn-inspired master bedroom! So that is the plan for a lovely master bedroom for my Simself!
Where to Find Unicorn CC
If you are looking for even more unicorn CC than what I used, there are a few ways to find it. There is quite a bit in the Arcane Illusions Collab, so that is a great place to look first. You can also search in the search bar using the terms unicorn, magical, fantasy, or horse and find loads of CC that way. You can also look at specific artist pages or just scroll through all the CC.
The Goal
So our goal here today is to create a Unicorn bedroom, but instead of super colorful with pastels and bright colors, I want it to be a bit more elegant and still fit a rustic ranch look. I am using these Unicorn-inspired tapestries as my central focus for this Unicorn – inspired master bedroom.
CC Featured – Unicorn Tapestry
I looked for unicorns and gold CC for this room as I wanted an elegant Unicorn inspired master bedroom. I pictured it in my head and thought of a whimsical glittery gold room with many plants (of course) and wooden furniture with unicorns and golden décor. In preparation, I downloaded two entire baskets full of CC! So now we see how it all plays out!
The Before
CC Featured – Stonewall Ranch
Rather than building my ranch lot, I downloaded some available at TSR. The current lot I use for my Simself is the Stonewall Ranch lot by Danuta720. The lot is charming and does not need any redecorating. However, for this blog, we are going to Unicornify this room.
The Final Result
Ok… So we went opposite where I thought I was going with this room, which is ok. If you read the title, you will know exactly what happened. I matched a few furniture pieces up to the tapestry I love so much, and… well… we went rustic goth… plus unicorns. It is me, Afterall. Oops… I guess? Apparently, Rustic and Unicorn work together… who would have thought.
Build Materials
CC Featured – Wooden Wall, & Black Wall
For building materials, the goal quickly went from elegant and rustic to goth and rustic. So, instead of wood and gold, it went wood and black. I wanted an accent wall and some variant of black walls with a pattern. For the floor, I kept the original wood floor from the lot. It matched the house, so I feel this keeps the room better in theme with the overall lot. I also tried the ceiling paint, which is black wood, to darken the room up a bit.
‘Mane’ Furniture
CC Featured – Bed & Canopy Set, Pillows 1, Pillows 2, Blanket & Rug
ok, I made a pun… All puns aside, I already had a ton of furniture downloaded, and it appeared as if I had the entire Oh My Goth Collab and Halloween releases. No surprise there. So while looking at the bed with a canopy and rustic wood, I came across the Wampyrica set by Simcredible. The wood fit the rustic vibe so well that I turned from a rustic golden unicorn room to a goth rustic one. Can all these elements coexist… sure why not? With the CC here at TSR, the sky is the limit!
CC Featured – Unicorn Tapestry, Closet, Closet overhang, Curtain, Unicorn head, Horse head, & Reflective Floors
So rather than have a big armoire, I went with the closet doors with some lovely lace curtains to slightly brighten the room. I know the curtains are white, but I did not want to go full goth with this room. I also swapped the desk’s color to match the wood better, as it suited the room quite nicely.
Décor & Clutter CC
CC Featured – Shelf, Statue, Plants, Unicorn Lamp, Box, Black Curtains, & Lace Curtains
I wanted to include as many pieces of nonpastel unicorn CC as possible, so several unicorn lights give this room an overall glow. I also added candles, moons, loads of plants, books, and boxes to make the room feel complete. I know you all love clutter CC, I am not a clutter CC decorator, but I tried.

The original design had a plant wall, and I loved it, so I attempted to build one with CC. This room has loads of plants; what did we expect, right? After all, that is what I like to do.

The only element I did not like was the picture wall, and I forgot the mini wall on the other side, a small mirror there would have looked great. As the picture wall goes, I would have liked more dark fantasy photos to get them all in better order. Again I am not cluttery aside from plants, so new style for me to try.

I tried to fill EVERY shelf with something for you all, so you have plenty to download! There is so much CC in this room!
Summary
Overall the room came out lovely. The original was perfect, but I liked the build and wanted to make a unicorn-inspired room on my ranch. So why not use a residential lot I absolutely adore already! Aside from the photo wall not being as complete as I would like, I am satisfied with the room and will use it for the game I am currently playing.

I focused on unicorns rather than color, as I love unicorn tapestries. I think they are somewhere in every home I have recently played in. The tapestry and new pack inspired me to make a unicorn room, so why not share it with you all so you can download all this CC! I would totally sleep in this room.
