Get That Look – Modern Royal Look

Hello and welcome to Get that Look! For February, we are going to style a modern royal look fit for a Princess. Even though this is a modern take on a look for royaltiy we are absolutely still going to use a tiara. So let’s get started!

The Plan

The new Sims 4 Expansion Pack: Royalty and Legacy comes out tomorrow, February 12, 2026, so I want to make sure I have Sims ready to take the throne!  We are going to start with my Sim Amilee, and give her a fun springy look that’s fit for a Princess. I want something modern, fun, and casual. Casual visioned for royalty for me is, of course, a bit different, so I am thinking a maxi dress would be perfect with some heels and, of course, lots of accessories.

Core Elements

There are some core elements of this modern royal look I want to pull off: a crown or a tiara, classy but casual attire, next-level accessories, timeless makeup, and overall elegance of the whole look.  When I think of makeup for a modern royal look, I think natural and clean, with very soft or natural colors, but still very polished.  Accessory-wise, we are talking complete look, always earrings, necklace, bracelet, nails done at a minimum. Of course, with the tiara and classy casual look, all the elements need to be pulled together for an overall elegance and sophistication in a complete look.

The Final Look

Overall, I think I did a pretty good job. I was worried I was going to go too dressy for a modern royal look. However, this dress works really well and fits between a light formal look and a dressier casual, which works for a princess. The one element that is throwing me off is the tiara. I just don’t usually put them on as a standard accessory. The tiara is very lovely, and I did find the floral necklace, and the flowers are pretty close to the tiara. I think for my game personally, I may just use tiaras and crowns on formal wear for my royals. I just don’t see them as a casual or even dressy casual piece.

Hello, I’m Jezi! I’ve been Simming since the very beginning, and my love for The Sims has only grown over the years, especially when it comes to CC! Outside of Simming, I love gothic and heavy metal aesthetics, animals, nature, Dungeons & Dragons, fashion, and, of course, video games. When I’m not gaming, you can usually find me writing, swimming, watching movies, or making soap. My partner and I share our wonderfully chaotic life with three teenagers, a dog, and one very mischievous cat who keeps all of us on our toes.
