Hello and welcome to our October edition of Drab to Fab! Here in the United States, many of us are getting ready for Halloween and trick-or-treating this week. So, therefore, in this edition, we are taking this very open and basic porch and making it trick-or-treat ready!
The Before

This is a lot that comes in the High School Years Expansion Pack in the world of Copperdale. It’s not a bad porch, but there really isn’t much on it, aside from lights and a plant. Which is hardly trick-or-treat ready.
The Plan
There is no plan… Ok, there is just a basic plan. Pumpkins and cute, with space to sit and a space to put treats for trick-or-treaters. Now to see if this very open plan works to our favor.
The After

So I am going to just go out on a limb… or a vine…….. and say the no plan worked actually quite well. I mean, that is a lot of orange. But the kids are not going to miss the house, and it just might glow at night, so plenty of lighting.
Furniture

I discovered a really cute object set that perfectly complements the house. I wanted to maintain the retro farmhouse cottage vibes of the lot, and using natural wooden furniture was an ideal choice. Another reason I chose this set for the renovation is the tablecloth, which matches the orange accents beautifully. As a bonus, the ghost decorative pillows fit perfectly on the benches.
Decor

Alright, here is when we start getting a little out of hand, but is it, tho if it’s for trick-or-treat? We don’t want this porch unfinished. So rather than make it a spooky porch, I opted for cute with some sophistication in the plant and pumpkin choices.
Pumpkins & Plants

Now plants. I’d like to think I used them in moderation, and that there is plenty of room for more, like on the sides of the walls… but I think I may have a pumpkin problem. How many pumpkins are on this lot? I don’t know, I stopped counting after forty-five. Fortunately, most of them are sets 🙂
Final Thoughts

Alright, so real talk, I think I needed some vines or something on the side of the walls. Aside from that, the lot is definitely ready for trick-or-treat on Copperdale. The space is also functional, and there is room to move around and use the entire deck space. So we are going to say this job is done, and we will see you next month! Happy Downloading!
