Drab to Fab – Holiday Themed Dining Room

Hello and welcome to another edition of Drab to Fab, where we take base lots and transform them into CC-tastic spaces. In this edition, we are decorating a Dining Room for the holidays.  Yes, it is the holiday season, and our client Devon has asked for some help creating the perfect Holiday Dining Room to host a Holiday Dinner with his family.

The Before

Sims 4 Lot

Devon just moved from San Myshuno, where he was living with friends, to his own home in Chestnut Ridge. He purchased the Grapevine Terrace, as he has always had a love for creating fine nectar and cooking. This lot was well-designed, and the space was utilized quite effectively. However, Devon wanted some changes for the Holiday to impress his family.

The After – Kitchen

Since the Dining room was really only moving two chairs and decorating, we decided to give Devon an upgrade on appliances and make the kitchen a bit more vibrant and lived-in. We put up a backsplash, new cabinets, and countertops, and completed the Kitchen with a rolling drink station. Devon is very into healthy living, so we also removed a plant and swapped it for a shake station, big surprise there, removing a plant.  But not to worry, we added loads of plants to the shelves!

Structurally, the dining room was built for that table and chair set. All we had to do was decorate, and being that it is just for the holidays, we were not about to take down that lovely paneling. A very simple job of adding a place for deserts and loads of decor!

The Final Result

I think his family was quite pleased with the end results. We know Devon really wanted to impress his Mother who is a celebrity chef and known on Simstigram for her food posts. The space was perfect, cozy, and very festive. We are happy to help our client have his dream Holiday Dinner with his family, as that is what Holidays are about.
