Halloween is in full swing at The Sims Resource, and our 13 Days of Halloween celebration just wouldn’t be complete without a creative challenge for our builders! This year, we’re hosting a Shell Challenge – but not just any shell challenge. We’ve prepared three spooky shell shapes for you to choose from: Bat, Pumpkin, or Cat. Whether you’re feeling cute, creepy, or somewhere in between, there’s a shell to match your Halloween spirit.
What Is a Shell Challenge?
If you’ve never entered a shell challenge before, don’t worry – it’s simple (and seriously fun). A shell is a pre-built structure with only exterior walls placed. Your mission? Turn it into something amazing! You can decorate, furnish, landscape, and style it however you like – just don’t move, edit or delete any of the existing exterior walls.
It’s all about creativity: making the same structure look completely unique depending on your vision. Think haunted mansion, cozy autumn cabin, magical cat cottage – anything your imagination conjures up!
How to Join
Download your chosen shell – Bat, Pumpkin, or Cat – from The Sims Resource.
Open it in your game and start designing! Interior walls, flooring, decor, and landscaping are all up to you.
Keep the outer walls as they are – that’s what makes it a fair shell challenge.
Once you’ve finished your build, share your creation with us! You can post your entry in our Discord channel or reply to the Facebook announcement post for the contest, or even upload your creation to The Sims Resource itself!
Contest Dates
The challenge officially starts on October 22nd and runs through October 31st, when winners will be announced.
So grab your cauldrons, cobwebs, and cursed furniture sets – and show us what spooky creativity you can summon! We can’t wait to see your haunted builds come to life during our 13 Days of Halloween.
