90 Day: The Sims Resource Special

90 Day Big Ed

Here at The Sims Resource, we eat, breath, sleep and think in The Sims. So even as someone who doesn’t play the game on a normal basis, when the entire team got utterly obsessed with TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé over the past weekend, I knew …I just knew we had to do something about it.

So welcome to pure chaos, where we’ve decided to create our own chaos by letting YOU, our lovely readers and users pick who we add to this lovely household. Disclaimer: this won’t be your well put together blog like every other one we have here at The Sims Resource. I don’t play the game on a normal basis, and I don’t normally write content for the site. Sad but true, so this can get painful…hence, welcome to the chaos.

Firstly, I’d like to introduce the first member of our chaotic household from TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days and 90 Day: The Single Life. Drum roll please… Ed “Big Ed” Brown. Big Ed is located in Willow Creek in Crick Cabana, a 20×15 lot that consists of a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, and 6,725 Simoleons left to his name.

If you haven’t watched 90 Day Fiancé, and are planning to do so, please stop here and don’t continue further, there are some mad spoilers ahead, it’s exactly why we’re all so obsessed!

Who is “Big Ed”? – A quick summary.

We are introduced to “Big Ed” in Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Currently 56, turning 57 in April, we met Ed when he was 54 years old and was dating Rosemarie (aka Rose) who was 23 at the time. They met online on social media and Big Ed fell in love immediately. When he asked her to be his girlfriend, she said she’d be his queen and he could be her king. How lovely!

Fun Fact: As we get further into the introduction clip of Big Ed & Rose, we come to learn a secret about how Ed is keeping his hair moisturized when he dyes his hair so he can stay looking young. Mayonnaise.

If you’re wondering how this relationship goes because you didn’t care about my spoiler warning above, I’ll give you the very simple answer. It goes … and by goes, I mean gone. Throughout the season we see the couple struggle as Ed’s daughter Tiffany (29 at the time) and his entire family is skeptical about the relationship, the constant bickering and lying between the couple and an explosive truth that ends the relationship. Rose made it clear she wanted more two more children aside from her 4-year old son Prince, but he waits until they meet in person, before he finally lets her know what he did not want to have anymore children. Shooketh!

They eventually apologize to each other, but are obviously not back together, because if you’ve kept up with Big Ed, he’s now engaged to Elizabeth “Liz” Woods, 29. They broke up for a short period of time according to their interview with People Magazine, and recently got back together, and are stronger than ever.

Now back to The Sims Resource … we could just leave this happy story ending where it is and let it be, but remember, this is chaos time, not happy ending time. We’ve only created Big Ed for this household, and as you know, each household can have 8 people. Though he’s living in a much smaller home at the moment, we’re planning on letting him move up into a bigger home once we bring more people or pets on board.

What we’re proposing is for YOU, our readers and users, to let us know who I should make next to add into the household, and to see what fun will come out of this reality show household we put together.

Also.. I think he’s feeling flirty right now 😉

Let us know in the comments across our social media posts! I’ll be reading them for inspiration on who we should create as the next person to add to the household.
