The new Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies Expansion Pack is now out! I have been so excited about this pack, and I have already downloaded it and started playing it! Since we have a few reviews planned, we start with the five things I love about the Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies Pack!

Pack Summary
The Sims 4: Businesses and Hobbies Expansion Pack was released today, March 6! This pack focuses on growing a business and builds upon what is already available in the Base Game and previous DLC. In my opinion, the overall theme showcases a creative, modern take on Scandinavian design and fashion, introducing the new world of Nordhaven. The pack emphasizes exploring and perfecting your hobbies and skills while creating a successful business for your Sims.
5 Things I Love About This Pack
I appreciate this pack very much, so it was quite difficult to choose just five aspects that I absolutely love about the Businesses and Hobbies Expansion Pack. After careful consideration, here are the top five things I enjoy the most about this pack!
1 – Tattoo Artist
All I have to say is… “It’s about time!” I have waited for Tattoo Artists for so long. I know there are mods, but I try to play with minimal script mods and stick to CC and graphics mods. I have wanted to be able to have Tattoo Artists as an occupation for such a long time, like since Sims 4 came out, so yes, this is at the top of my list of things I love about this pack. If you want to quickly max out your Tattoo skill, use stats.set_skill_level Major_Tattoo 10 (First enable your cheats, press CTRL+ Shift + C and type in the prompt box testingcheats true).
2 – Creative Freedom to Create Unique Businesses
You can create anything by using the features and options provided in the Expansion Pack for developing a business. One of the main advantages is the ability to charge an entrance fee or by the hour. I’ve heard many people discussing petting zoos and cat cafés, but consider this: how about a Goat Yoga Wellness Studio that also offers pottery and fitness classes? It’s going to be fantastic!
3 – The Pottery Skill – Japanese art of Kintsugi
The Pottery Skill is exactly what I needed for my entrepreneurial art Sims! This skill is so much fun, and countless pottery options are available. I particularly love the introduction of the Japanese art of Kintsugi, which involves repairing pottery with gold and silver. Yes, it highlights the cracks but transforms the piece into something more creative and striking. Requires level 7 Pottery to “repair ceramics” and level 10 Pottery to “glaze with unbreakable coating.” Or… you can cheat and use stats.set_skill_level Major_Pottery 10 to max out your pottery skill. (First enable your cheats, press CTRL+ Shift + C and type in the prompt box testingcheats true)
4 – Ability To Have a Small Business from Home
I appreciate the feature that allows Sims to run a business from their home, as I often play entrepreneurial Sims. My two main characters are an author and a jewelry maker. Together, they also run a bake shop. Being able to operate businesses from a Sim’s home will be very beneficial for me because it minimizes travel and makes it easier to meet my Sims’ needs, especially if I choose not to use cheats. I typically rely on cheats to manage their needs.
5 – The New Fireplaces
I absolutely adore the two new fireplaces! I am a big fan of incorporating fireplaces into my remodels and try to include one in every single lot I redesign. The rounded fireplace adds more variety to my projects. I can’t wait for our next “Drab to Fab” event; we will use one of these fireplaces!
Final Thoughts
This Expansion Pack is truly one we didn’t know we needed. The Businesses and Hobbies Expansion Pack allows players to create anything using the existing game features along with the new additions from the pack. I can already envision cat cafes, metaphysical shops, bakeries, candy shops, flower shops, nectar shops, and various combinations of these. Of course, my first project will be a Goat Yoga and Art Wellness Spa. I named it Clay & Clover. I have a lot of ideas for businesses! I’ve only played a little bit of the pack so far and haven’t encountered any significant bugs. This pack seems so much fun! I am excited to explore this expansion further and can’t wait to see what creative business ideas the community will come up with. The possibilities are endless!
